Angelos

Jan Fabre is a visual artist, theatre artist and author who is considered as one of the most versatile and influential artists of his generation. He calls himself a consilience artist because he always leaps forward in knowledge through the linking of fact-based theory and practice across disciplines.

‘Angelos’ – The messenger is a go-between who travels through time and space: an intermediary-visionary. Fabre’s
oeuvre is teeming with messengers: he himself is also
the messenger: a messenger of death, humility, intransigence, imagination, multiplicity, loss, beauty, loyalty. ‘Angelos’ is the name of his visual arts studio: a heavenly envoy who
brings about a meeting of the earthly and heavenly worlds.
